The Chicago School’s Los Angeles Campus
Description:
The Chicago School's Los Angeles campus showcases a thoughtfully designed educational environment that balances modern functionality with warm, inviting aesthetics. The space features a striking combination of natural wood elements, deep navy accent walls, and organic touches like suspended greenery that create a welcoming atmosphere for students and faculty.
The lighting design plays a crucial role in defining the character of each area: sculptural blue and white circular pendant fixtures provide focal points in collaborative spaces, while globe pendants of varying sizes create visual rhythm throughout the multi-level interior.
The dramatic arched wooden portal in the entry area demonstrates how integrated lighting can enhance architectural features, drawing visitors through the space.
Throughout the campus, the lighting scheme maintains consistency while adapting to different functional needs—from focused task lighting in private work pods to ambient illumination in social areas—ultimately supporting both the collaborative and contemplative aspects of the modern learning environment.
