How would you like to take a trip to Italy to learn about the culture and history of Venetian glass without ever leaving the comforts of home?

You can when you visit the new Vistosi Virtual Museum. With a time-honored Venetian glassmaking tradition dating back to the 1500s, the Vistosi name represents the finest in elegant Italian design. Today, this prestigious lighting manufacturer focuses on the strength, beauty, and versatility of hand-blown glass.

By visiting the virtual museum designed by Atelier oï for Vistosi, you’ll be able to see stunning examples of Vistosi’s exquisite Murano glass for yourself.

You’ll tour a one-of-kind lighting showroom on the island of Murano. As you navigate from the entrance that extends over the calm blue waters of a lagoon into a light-filled atrium, you’ll be left wondering what is real and what is part of the metaverse. In fact, the entire showroom seems to float on water.

For Vistosi, the new virtual showroom is a way to introduce Vistosi products to a broader audience. “It will be a traditional sales support tool,” explains Vistosi CEO Matteo Moretti in a press announcement for the opening of the virtual museum. “We will have a connected e-commerce and network of connected resellers to respond in real-time to the questions of users of the site.”

As you move further into the virtual museum, you’ll marvel at the balance between natural light and artificial light. The building’s interior materials – Corten steel, stone, and brick – reveal a realistic texturing process created by the Italian marketing agency Wow Solution.
